Charlie Chaplin got himself into a load of legal trouble when actress Joan Barry announced that she was carrying Chaplin's child in 1943. Then in 1944, Chaplin was accused of violating the Mann Act which prohibits the transportation of women across state lines for sexual purposes. Chaplin was found not guilty.

Apparently during a photoshoot for French Vogue, Polanski then 43, gave champagne and a Quaalude to Samantha Geimer who was 13 at the time. He fled for France before final sentencing. In 2009 he was arrested at the request of U.S. authorities while he was in Switzerland. Geimer no longer wants to press charges.

Charlie Sheen was notorious for hiring hookers from madam Heidi Fleiss, so after she was busted for running a prostitution ring in the early 1990's, Sheen had to testify. He claims to have spent over 50,000 on Fleiss' prostitutes in a two-year span.
